The Quezon City government bagged several recognitions during the 2023 Urban Governance Exemplar Awards of the Department of the Interior and Local Government – NCR.

DILG-NCR presented the awards to QC for complying with the requirements needed to achieve the Ideal Functional Rating in Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC) Functionality Audit and Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Audit.

The city also received a High Functional Rating in its Anti Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit and was also given recognition for its efforts in the Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit, Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation (MBCRP) Program, and Peace and Order (POC) Performance Audit.

Not to be outdone was the Sangguniang Panlungsod, hailed as the regional winner of the 2023 Local Legislative Award for having garnered a score of 99.5%.

Vice Mayor Gian Sotto accepted the awards on behalf of the city government along with Assistant Administrator for Operations Alberto Kimpo and other city department heads.

Meanwhile, Barangay Talipapa and Barangay Holy Spirit were acknowledged for their exceptional performance in implementing the  Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) Kalinga sa Barangay Project through the assistance of the QC Food Security Task Force.

Barangay San Bartolome was also awarded in the Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Award and received a P50,000 incentive.
