Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Children’s Month, inilunsad ng QC Gender and Development Council ang QC Teenage Pregnancy Summit na may temang “Kalusugan, Kaisipan at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan”.

Nagbigay ng pambungad na talumpati si Vice Mayor Gian Sotto at Coun. Noe Dela Fuente III, SK Federation Chairperson. Nagbahagi rin ng testimonya si Ms. Carmela Bondoc mula sa Quezon City Youth Development Office tungkol sa pagiging batang ina.

Nagsilbing keynote speaker ng programa si Mr. Percy Villar Cendaña mula sa Akbayan Partylist. Nakiisa rin sa summit bilang panelists sina Coun. Maria Eleanor “Doc. Ellie” Juan, Women, Family Relations and Gender Equality Chaiperson, QCHD Medical Officer III Dr. Jhoan Pilotin, Schools Division Office Quezon City – Education Program Supervisor Ms. Marietta Caballero, QC Protection Center OIC Ms. Janet Oviedo, Social Services Development Department – Community Outreach Division Chief Ms. Eileen Velasco, Public Employment Service Office – Labor Market Information Systems Division OIC Ms. Maria Teresa Guardiano, at Ms. Ma. Theresa D. Labrador.

Nagsagawa rin ng breakout sessions upang magabayan ang mga batang ina at ama ukol sa Gender-based Violence; Continuing Education; Psycho-social Health; Health (Maternal and child’s health and responsible parenting); Family and Community; at Employment and Livelihood na pinangunahan ng Young Feminist, Lunas Collective, University of the Philippines Department of Women and Development, University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies – Sexual Health and Empowerment (SHE) Team, at Bayi, Inc.
