Pinangunahan ni Mayor Joy Belmonte ang pagpupulong ng Local Council for the Protection of Children kasama ang ilang departamento ng pamahalaang lungsod. Ibinahagi sa pagpupulong ang mga report ukol sa bilang ng mga child laborers at kung ano ang hakbang ng QC upang matulungan sila at ang kanilang pamilya. Inihain din ang ilan pang programa na makatutulong para sa mga kabataan, mula sa kanilang nutrisyon, edukasyon, at pangkabuuang pag-unlad.

Layon ng pamahalaang Lungsod Quezon na maging child-friendly city at makapagbigay ng ligtas, inklusibo, at mapayapang komunidad para sa mga kabataan.
