CITY TREASURER’S OFFICE

The Community Tax Certificate, also referred to as Cedula, is essential for most government transactions, serving as both a primary and secondary form of identification. Individuals or corporations receive this certificate upon paying the community tax, which can be done at the individual’s residence or the main office of the organization.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Those who own a business or are engaged in business within the city
  2. Those who are required by law to file income tax returns

REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW BUSINESS:

  • Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) from City Treasurer’s Office
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Single proprietor certificate of registration
  • For representative:
    • ID of the representative
    • Authorization Letter with a photocopy of government issued valid ID of the person being represented

STEPS:

  1. Upon filling out the Community Tax Declaration Form, proceed to the counter intended for encoding of information.
  2. Pay the required amount (depends on the income of the taxpayer) and receive the computerized CTC.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF BUSINESS:

  • Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) from City Treasurer’s Office
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Proof of Income (Approved business tax declaration by an evaluator from City Treasurer’s Office)
  • For representative:
    • Valid government-issued ID of the representative
    • Authorization Letter with a photocopy of valid government-issued ID of business being represented

STEPS:

  1. Upon filling out the Community Tax Declaration Form, present the approved business tax declaration by an evaluator.
  2. Proceed to the counter intended for encoding of information.
  3. Pay the required amount (depends on the income of the taxpayer) and receive the computerized CTC.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CLAIMING PAID CEDULA – SINGLE PROPRIETOR:

  • Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) from City Treasurer’s Office
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Original tax bill and official receipt (Duplicate or pink copy of official receipts)
  • For representative:
    • Valid government-issued ID of the representative
    • Authorization Letter with a photocopy of valid government-issued ID of business being represented

STEPS:

  1. Taxpayer should present original tax bill and duplicate or pink copy of official receipts.
  2. The CTO personnel will search the Mayor’s Permit number through the system and print CTC based on presented documents.
  3. The taxpayer will receive the computerized community tax certificate.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CLAIMING PAID CEDULA – CORPORATION:

  • Original tax bill and official receipt (Duplicate or pink copy of official receipts
  • Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) (from City Treasurer’s Office)
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • For representative:
    • Valid government-issued ID of the representative
    • Authorization Letter with a photocopy of valid government-issued ID of business being represented

STEPS:

  1. Taxpayer should present original tax bill and duplicate or pink copy of official receipts.
  2. The CTO personnel will search the Mayor’s Permit number through the system and print CTC based on presented documents.
  3. The taxpayer will receive the computerized community tax certificate.
