The Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Partylist is the latest addition to Quezon City government’s partners in accelerating its vaccination drive.

After sealing deals with several malls in the city, the city government formed a partnership with ACT-CIS Partylist during the MOA signing ceremony held today, May 20. Supported primarily by radio broadcasters Raffy and Erwin Tulfo, the partylist has committed to help Quezon City’s vaccination program by providing medical teams in vaccination centers.

QC Mayor Joy Belmonte welcomed the move of the partylist and the Tulfo brothers to join the city’s “Bayanihan sa Turukan.”

“Since last year, we have received a myriad of support from different organizations and have established the whole-of-city approach in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. The doctors and nurses from ACT-CIS will greatly support four of our sites, and accommodate more QCitizens in the process,” Belmonte said.

“Ito po ay aming kontribusyon sa hangarin ng ating pamahalaan na mabakunahan ang lahat sa lalong madaling panahon. Kailangan po tayong magtulong-tulong. Hindi natin matatalo ang virus kung hindi natin susuportahan ang mga ginagawang hakbang ng pamahalaan,” ACT-CIS Chair Erwin Tulfo said.

The city government values the initial support from the ACT-CIS party list which will speed up its efforts, and provide fast and efficient service to its residents. ACT-CIS Partylist will also look for other means to support the city government’s inoculation process.

As of May 19, the city government has administered a total of 272,046 doses to QC residents and workers, or 204,394 for first dose plus 67, 652 for second dose.

Recently, a drive-thru vaccination site has been opened by the local government in partnership with SM City Malls in SM Fairview. This site accommodated A1 to A3 priority groups who have registered to the program through their barangay’s assisted-booking scheme.

Different sites in collaboration with the private sector have been opened to contribute to the city’s goal of herd immunity in 6-8 months by inoculating 1.6 million individuals.
