Ipinagdiriwang ang Oktubre bilang National Shelter Month na may temang “Pambansang Pabahay: Matibay na saligan ng mapayapang pamayanan”.
Si Mayor Joy Belmonte ang naging keynote speaker sa opening ceremony ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Tinalakay ng alkalde ang mga proyekto ng lokal na pamahalaan upang magkaroon ng maayos at ligtas na tirahan ang mga residente ng lungsod.
