ABOUT US
Description
The Task Force Streetlights is created to formulate a comprehensive plan for implementing an integrated energy-efficient streetlighting program for the city.
Mission
To proudly serve Quezon City’s constituents by providing effective and efficient streetlighting services through the installation, repair, and maintenance of streetlights.
Vision
To ensure that all of Quezon City’s public roads and thoroughfares are sufficiently illuminated.
Legal Basis
Executive Order No. 8, S-2020 – Creating the Task Force for Quezon City Integrated Energy Efficient Streetlighting Program known as “TASK FORCE STREETLIGHTING”.
Service Pledge
To deliver effective and efficient streetlighting services to Quezon City’s constituents.
To provide assistance during disasters.
To provide assistance to other government offices as deemed necessary.
SERVICES
NEW INSTALLATION OF STREETLIGHTS
New streetlights are installed in requested areas to increase the illumination in the City in order to augment the safety and security of the community. Prior to installation, an inspection is conducted to determine whether the installation is feasible or not.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING STREETLIGHTS
Existing streetlights are managed by the City Government in order to maintain illumination in the area. Repair or replacement of streetlight components is done when these are non-operational or pose a threat to the safety of people or properties.
PROVISION OF OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES
Assistance is provided to different city Departments and Offices, government agencies, barangays, and homeowners in other tasks and activities such as tree trimming, installation of tarpaulins, lanterns, and Christmas decorations, CCTV rectification, dangling wires operations, debris removal, and emergency rescue during typhoons or other calamities.
PROGRAMS
QUEZON CITY INTEGRATED ENERGY EFFICIENT STREETLIGHTING PROGRAM
The integrated program for the installation, retrofitting, repair, and maintenance of City streetlights through the use of energy-efficient streetlight parts/equipment will further reduce power consumption and use a Centralized Management System while attaining a 100% city-illumination level.
Project components include:
- Installation of additional streetlights to attain 100% illumination level
- Retrofitting of existing streetlights into a Centralized Management System
- Repair and maintenance of streetlights including replacement of dilapidated posts and tree-trimming activities

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICES OF TASK FORCE STREET LIGHTING
STEPS:
- For new installations of streetlights, submit a letter of request to the Office of the City Administrator.
- For repair of streetlights or emergencies, either:
- Submit a letter of request to the Office of the City Administrator; or
- Call the Task Force’s Main Office at 89884242 local 8618 or its Satellite Office at 8703-6696.
- A staff member shall coordinate with the requesting party.

SPOTLIGHT
OPLAN BAKLAS 2022
In coordination with the Commission on Election (COMELEC), the Task Force participated in the removal of all election campaign paraphernalia installed prior to the May 9, 2022, National and Local Elections.
NEW INSTALLATION OF STREETLIGHTS
Excavation and concreting of new pedestals to install new steel posts for city streetlights
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF STREETLIGHTS
Activities include the replacement of dilapidated pedestals and steel posts, the replacement of busted LED lights or malfunctioning photocells, the repair of grounded wires, and the disconnection of illegally connected wires on city streetlights.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
These include the installation and removal of tarpaulins on city projects/programs; the installation and removal of city Christmas decors/lanterns and trimming of trees.
