C40 has offered unprecedented funding for initiatives being undertaken by its cities in the Global South to carry out their climate action plans ahead of the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
During the press conference on climate financing for the Global South, Mayor Joy Belmonte said that these investments will be a big help in carrying out the local government’s plans to reduce carbon emissions in the city, provide sustainable shelter to the 13,000 inhabitants along waterways and the building of necessary infrastructure to solve urban floods.
