2023 Galing Pook Panel Presentation and Final Interview

Kabilang si Mayor Joy Belmonte sa mga local chief executives na nag-present sa 2023 Galing Pook Panel Presentation and Final Interview para sa finalists na programang iRISE UP (Intelligent, Resilient, and Integrated Systems for the Urban Population) at Quezon City Birth Registration Online ng Quezon City Civil Registry Department.

Ang iRISE UP ay real time monitoring system ng QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office na tumutulong upang mapaghandaan ng mga barangay at komunidad ang ulan, kalidad ng hangin, taas ng tubig at pagyanig gamit ang mga early warning device.

Ang QC Birth Registration Online (QC-BRO) naman ay may layong marehistro agad ang bawat bata na ipinapanganak sa mga ospital at lying-in sa lungsod sa pamamagitan ng automated registration system.

Sa tulong nito, mas pinabilis at pinadali ang pagrehistro ng birth certificate ng bawat QCitizen.

Pinangunahan nina Galing Pook Foundation chairperson at former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Mel Sarmiento at Executive Director na si Ms. Georgina Hernandez-Yang ang isinagawang panel presentation.

Ang Galing Pook Awards ay inilunsad noong 1993 upang bigyang pagkilala ang mga best practices at innovative programs ng mga lokal na pamahalaan na makatutulong sa kanilang mga komunidad.

Kaisa ng Galing Pook Foundation ang SM Prime Holdings at DILG-Local Government Academy.
